Tribute Tuesday: Shirley Temple

I missed Musical Monday yesterday due to various schooling and workplace engagements. My apologies.

I was going to post a poem for what is usually Tidbit Tuesday, but I've got to pay tribute to a recently late great who had a profound impact on me as a child.

I loved watching Shirley Temple movies when I was a kid. I loved watching her dance and sing and act. She was such a little spitfire, but in the most adorable way imaginable. One of my fondest childhood memories is watching Heidi with Emily - we must have watched it fifty times.

I don't know much about Shirley Temple's political activism apart from the bits I've read from the articles posted today, but I'll always remember her as the little girl with the shiny curls and furiously fast feet. What a legend.
